Who we are

Floatstone Digital is a full-stack web services studio based in Taichung, Taiwan, founded in 2023. We build websites, systems, payment integrations, AI applications and process automation — from the interface people see down to the servers and databases that keep it running, all handled by one team.

Clients do not have to assemble separate design, front-end, back-end and operations vendors for a single project, nor arbitrate between them when something breaks. We define the scope, deliver it, and own the outcome.

Why "Floatstone"

Pumice is volcanic rock light enough to float on water — light, but rock nonetheless. Our creed is simple: never chase the froth, always lay the bedrock. The interface may be light as pumice; what holds it up has to be stone.

That is not just naming rhetoric — it is how we choose technical approaches. Visual effects have to serve the content, and the invisible foundation has to survive three more years of traffic and changing requirements. We build every project as a system meant to keep running, not a one-off handed over and forgotten.

What we do

Our work spans three layers. The surface is everything users see: web development, marketing and growth. The core is the engine driving the business: systems, AI applications, custom development, process automation and payment integration. The foundation holds it all up: private AI deployment, cloud and databases, maintenance and technical support.

These ten are not a catalogue of separate products but different depths of the same work. One e-commerce project may involve the site, payments, the database and ongoing operations at once. The layers describe how deep we can go, not a menu to pick from.

How we work

Technology choices follow the project, not our habits. We primarily work in TypeScript, React, Next.js and Node.js, with PostgreSQL, Redis and Prisma at the data layer and Docker plus cloud infrastructure for deployment. What we picked and why is explained during the design stage.

The process runs in five stages: discovery, design, build, launch and maintenance. Each stage produces something you can actually see rather than saving everything for a final reveal. Collaboration is primarily remote, with in-person meetings available in Taichung or elsewhere in Taiwan.

Track record

Over 150 completed projects to date, more than three years in service, and 99.9% system uptime maintained. Delivered work spans cross-border payment settlement platforms, flagship e-commerce sites, enterprise operations back-offices, quantitative trading bot clusters, dual-channel support bots, Web3 approval-security scanners, multi-branch booking systems and real-time operations dashboards.

Case studies on this site are presented anonymously to protect client agreements and commercial confidentiality. The challenges, solutions and result figures in each are real project records, not illustrations.
